Mission

MISSION STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

NGATHA International is organized exclusively for CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL and SOCIO-ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT purposes.

To this end, NGATHA International shall:

  • Support and/or engage in activities that channel relief aid to the poor, the sick, the elderly, and especially women and children of under-served communities internationally.
  • Support livelihood approaches through humanitarian assistance in promoting the social well-being by channeling financial support and aid for self sustenance in adversity.
  • Facilitate cost effective project designs that alleviate poverty among marginalized groups or communities and conserve the existing grassroots organizations with similar programs and objectives.
  • Support empowerment of poor communities through educational, socio-economic opportunities and assistance in strengthening community based organizations and user groups.
  • Support technology and institutional initiatives which support universal literacy and access to information for the urban and rural poor.
  • Promote/mobilize local and international support for solutions regarding educational, economic, environmental sustainability, social advancement and individual self-sufficiency.

NGATHA International believes

Our organization can be most effective at achieving our goals of optimum assistance through an interdisciplinary approach.
This will be achieved by partnering our own initiatives with the efforts of other groups, N.G.O.’s and grass-roots programs within designated communities.
Partial Scope:

BORE HOLE PROJECTS

  • Efficient capture of clean water for hygiene, food preparation, domestic chores and irrigation.

ADULT EDUCATION

  • Topics: Personal and business finance management, sustainable agriculture, creating sustainable communities, renewable resources, nutrition, AIDS/HIV awareness, public health, business courses, child care, personal hygiene, midwifery, etc.

CHILD EDUCATION & CHILDRENS HOMES FOR ORPHANS

  • Scholarships/sponsorships, orphanages for school aged children.

LOW INTEREST MICRO-LOANS FOR WOMEN

  • The issuance of small loans to provide women the opportunity to start or expand their own business or cooperative.

SUPPORT OF BUSINESS COOPERATIVES FOR WOMEN
RELIEF ITEMS, EQUIPMENT AND KITS

  • Kits: Midwifery, layette, hygiene, infectious disease control, etc., clothing, school supplies, medical appliances for disabled, etc.

  • Ngatha International Children’s Learning Center admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
  • It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or school administered programs.
